Melkys school is an eco-community school and kindergarten in nature. Melkys is 25 km away from the capital Vilnius. It’s aim is to raise awareness of critical thinking about the educational system, humanistic education and the importance of learning from practice and together with nature.
Volunteers spend time in the kindergarten, helping and assisting teachers and kids during the educational process. Volunteers will also help during the lessons at school and learn about outdoor, humanistic education methods while ensuring safety methods outside. Volunteers are invited to implement their own ideas and projects, participate in social actions and events, festivals for children and educators, community festivals and summer camps.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: 

Accommodation, food and transport will be covered by the project. The volunteers will be accommodated in an 3 room apartment and receive 270€ pocket money per month. Every participant will have their travel costs from the country of residence to the project covered according to the ESC distance calculator.

✔ basic knowledge of written and spoken english
✔ Between 18 and 30 years old
✔ Awareness of the ESC philosophy and conditions of volunteering
✔ Work and communicate in teams of diverse origin
✔ creative and motivated
