Are you ready to create meaningful change and dive into the heart of Portuguese culture?
Starting in June 2025, the Portuguese Red Cross Youth will host 11 passionate young volunteers for a transformative 5-month European Solidarity Corps experience across Bragança, Braga, Cucujães, Sanguedo, and Guimarães.

What You’ll Do:

Join us in fostering solidarity among children and youth, while promoting inclusion and breaking down barriers of nationality, gender, and race. Your activities will focus on key themes such as:

  • Health Promotion & Education: Encourage healthy habits and behaviors as part of young people’s development.
  • Social Inclusion & Gender Equality: Help integrate children and youth facing social exclusion through innovative programs
  • Development & International Cooperation: Advocate for Human Rights and promote peace through educational programs on humanitarian values.
  • Empowerment & Active Citizenship: Build skills and promote entrepreneurship while supporting volunteering initiatives.
  • Environmental Education: Raise awareness of eco-friendly habits for a greener planet.
  • Humanitarian Education: Foster respect for diversity, peace, and non-violence through engaging activities.

Why Join Us?

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in projects that are constantly evolving, giving you the chance to shape your own volunteering journey. You’ll be involved in activities that promote personal and social skills, and given the flexibility to try new things and engage with our dynamic community.
The work of the Portuguese Red Cross Youth spans six key areas: Health Promotion, Social Inclusion, Development Education, Active Citizenship, Environmental Awareness, and Humanitarian Action. You’ll have the freedom to bring your ideas to life while gaining new skills and making a lasting impact.
