Purpose of the project: Concordia is a French non-profit organization, founded in 1950. Concordia now has 11 regional delegations in France and Concordia Normandie-Maine is one of them. We are based in the city of Le Mans. Our team organizes different kinds of volunteering projects (Erasmus+ training courses and youth exchanges, mid to long term volunteering and international workcamps). The team also organizes local activities and events. Through these activities, we are working towards climate justice, gender equality, and intercultural dialogue. For the new 2024-2025 season to come, our office is looking for two long term ESC volunteers, one Community Building Volunteer and one Communication Volunteer. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
What we will offer – A furnished individual room in an apartment shared with other Concordia ESC volunteers, in Le Mans – A 480 EUR monthly allowance – Travel reimbursement between your place of residence and the city of Le Mans (up to a certain amount, depending on your country of residence) – A public transportation card for the city of Le Mans – Registration to the Henner Health Insurance
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
Who are we looking for? An individual, between 18 and 30 years old, from a country participating in the European Solidarity Corps, who has never done a long term ESC project before and who has: – Beginner (or more) level in French – A good English level – Motivation and being comfortable to work with a wide range of people (kids, teenagers, families and people from different nationalities and religions..) – Cultural, artistic or sport skills are more than welcome – Flexible, autonomous and open to work/meet/live with new people from different countries, to think outside of the box – Willing to develop a personal project – Able and willing to work with a computer (Google Suite, editing softwares..)
Training during the activity:
On-arrival (5 days) and mid-term (2 days) training with the National Agency – French classes (between 1 and 2 a week, depending on the volunteers’ levels) – Participation in the Youth Exchanges, Training Courses and other trainings organized by Concordia Normandie Maine, depending on schedules and availability
