Purpose of the project: This ESC activity will take place in the sustainable initiative farm, therefore volunteers will interact with examples of good practices of low environmental footprint in rural life. The schedule will include various activities; mainly practical with explanations from different fields of sustainable practices while working (mostly permacultural farming, natural construction, community living, social permaculture, social entrepreneurship, energy resources, water cycle on the estate, and natural cosmetics). The working hours will be 7 per day, including cooking and cleaning inside the schedule. We start in the morning, 8 am, and work until 4 pm (1 h of break). We end with lunch together and after it is free time to rest, connect, do some walks etc. The aim of the activity is to live together on the farm and everyday village life. At the same time to take care of our selves, other – to make new connections and to learn from each other while volunteering and taking care of the place.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: FOOD Meals will be vegetarian, and we will cook together. We aim to use local food and/or ecological when possible. ACCOMMODATION The accommodation will be simple, but pleasant, in shared tents. You can bring your sleeping bag with you, but it isn’t necessary. You can bring your tent with you if you want more privacy. We will provide mats and extra blankets. We use dry, compost toilets and solar showers. All facilities are outdoors. Costs for food, accommodation and traveling (rate for covered traveling costs depends on the distance) are covered.

Participant Profile: young people (18-30 years old) with an interest in sustainability and be willing to cooperate in a group of 15 people – want to experience simple lifestyle living on the farm (no public transport) – willing to live and work outside in nature and with nature
