Purpose of the project: “Eyes Wide Open” Is a team volunteering project, promoting healthy lifestyle and preservation of cultural heritage in the rural communities of Bulgaria. The project includes hands-on training and sustainable practices to contribute to the well-being of the Bulgarian rural areas. The project focuses on the relationship between a healthy lifestyle, environment, preservation of cultural heritage and cultural traditions. We believe in the connection between a healthy lifestyle, sustainability and cultural heritage, and giving you the opportunity to learn from our experienced facilitators, create your own impact and contribute to the stronger relationship between the local environment and cultural traditions. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: Volunteers will be hosted in “Synergy House” – Educational & Retreat Center, opened in 2022 in order to create space for non-formal education & youth work outside of the big city and provide space for young people to explore themselves. Find more about “Synergy House” here – https://www.instagram.com/synergyhouse.bg/ Pocket money – You will receive 5€/day for your living money Food – You will receive al weekly budget for the group in order to cook altogether Travel costs – Your travel costs will be reimbursed according to the distance between your home and Sofia

Training during the activity: Your work will be supported at all times by our experienced facilitators, who will guide you in the activities you will do, give you advice or recommendations, and share with you their experience in creating a healthy lifestyle or hands-on work to learn and experience as much as possible during your stay.

Participant Profile: – 18-30 years old (not older than 31 on the 01st of May 2024) Ready to: – Live a healthy lifestyle and cultural heritage preservation – Experience hands-on work – Live in a small community with people from all over Europe – Connect and bring positive change to local communities – Take initiative and create opportunities for themselves and others – Live in a rural natural environment of Bulgaria mountains with basic conditions for four weeks – Share different cultures and understand different people in a supporting community – Create a personal project or personal initiative
