Purpose of the project: The European Volunteer of the Association (Social and Cultural Center) “APJC” is a volunteer in two areas: European mobility: The volunteer’s job is to help his tutor at various events to help local youths learn more about Europe and Erasmus (information meeting, Europe Day, school events ..). Furthermore, the volunteer will be responsible for the so-called Café SVE. Café SVE offers European volunteers from the Paris region to meet and exchange regularly. Youth animation: The volunteer will act as an animator/carer and accompany the other carers together, especially young people aged 11-14 years in their everyday lives. These include excursions, playing football, board games, or other activities. Furthermore, he is involved daily in the extracurricular education of elementary school students who come to the social center to do their homework and play.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/09/2020 to 31/08/2021 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The volunteer lives in an international housing community with 4 other European volunteers. Everyone has their own private room in the house. The house is equipped with a large kitchen, two bathrooms and toilets, two common rooms, a garden with barbecue, TV, WIFI and a large cellar with laundry room. The house is located in Rosny sous Bois, 20 minutes from the center of Paris, in front of a train station. The volunteer receives a monthly public transport pass for the entire Île-de-France region plus 422 € per month for meals and pocket money. 1 hour per week of French classroom with a teacher.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
Volunteer has to be open and engaged. He needs to be interested in European topics and has his own ideas to integrate in the project. The volunteer has to be social and helpful with children and teenagers. The volunteer knows what it means to be a volunteer and to be in the exchange during this experience (language, knowledge, time, …). As you will live in a house with other volunteers, the volunteer needs to be someone social and like an autonome. A basic level of french and a driver’s license would be advantageous.
