Long term ESC project in Sweden!

Purpose of project: Join our project if you enjoy meeting new people and would like to contribute to the integration of refugees. In our project you will learn how to be a support for refugees. You will be a part of the reception team that receives our newcomers at the airport or train station, take them to their apartment and help them with different formalities such as registration to the tax office, social insurance, etc, You will learn how to introduce newcomers to different integration activities that are arranged by the municipality or by the organisations from the civil society. You will be involved in arranging events that promote integration and social cohesion in the society and you will also be encouraged to take own initiatives that contributes to integration of newcomers
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/09/2019 to 31/07/2020 (11 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
You will share a city apartment in the absolut centre of Östersund, You will share room with 2 other volunteers and in the apartment can a total of 6 volunteers come to stay. Together you share a kitchen and a living room, as well as 2 toilets and a shower. There is everything you need to stay comfortably in the apartment. You have access to a bike all year round (here we also cycle in the winter) so you can get around longer distances in the city. You receive every month money paid into a Swedish account for food that you buy and cook for yourself.
Volunteer profile:
We are looking for an outgoing volunteer in age between 20 and 30.A person who likes to learn new things, curious and enjoys meeting new people. Most important for us is that you have the motivation to participate actively in our project. To enjoy this project, you need to have a great social ability and big interest in working with refugees because that’s what you will be doing during the 9 months. The project will sometimes require that you to take own initiatives and that’s why we want you to have previous experience in arranging events
