Trans Europe Halles (TEH) is looking for a ESC volunteer to join its international team in Lund, Southern Sweden, for 1 year starting 19 January 2026! TEH is a pan-European network with more than 170 members in 43 countries, initiated by citizens and artists. Since 1983, we have been at the forefront of repurposing industrial and commercial buildings for arts, culture and community use. Our members are multidisciplinary spaces that combine artistic and social activities, based on the belief that culture can transform people, spaces and societies. The TEH Coordination Office is based in Lund, in a beautiful old villa that offers an inspiring place to work. From here, our small international team manages membership services, organizes annual TEH events and online gatherings, and runs projects in areas such as sustainability and green transition. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
You will be accommodated in one of our safe houses in Lund, about 15 minutes by bike from the city center. The 17th-century housing complex is newly renovated and shared with international students. You will have a private room and share common facilities such as kitchen, bathroom, laundry, living room and garden. The accommodation is fully furnished and equipped. You will receive a bus card and a bicycle, as well as pocket money (enough to cover basic food and living needs). Several supermarkets are in the city for groceries.
Training during the activity
Your mentor will prepare a tailor-made professional development programme with you. You will get an introduction to the organisation and start with job shadowing TEH staff to learn about the network, its projects and the daily work of the team. During the year, you will be guided and mentored daily by our communications team, and you will participate in TEH international events meeting many independent cultural organisations managers from all EU.

You can’t put your phone down, you’re hyperactive on social media, follow trends, and enjoy visual arts, design, music, photography and video. You may already have experience in digital media and want to turn your passion into a profession. This opportunity will give you hands-on experience in an international organisation, working on communications projects alongside senior project managers and cultural professionals across 43 countries.
