S’Einlädele coordinates different projects in Freiburg. The main goal of S’Einlädele is humanitarian aid for Ukraine; we have a history of more than 30 years of supporting Ukrainian partners. We are looking for volunteers, who like to be part of this support! In this certain project S’Einlädele coordinates the volunteering in different homes for the elderly. Tasks: physical care or supporting day-care for the elderly, such as offering activities (ex. music, handcraft, gardening…) Locations of the homes for the elderly are in Freiburg/Germany and in smaller towns nearby. Applicants should be interested in working with elderly! They will be part of a professional team in the homes, but also part of a group of volunteers working in various locations. According to priorities of ESC a program on political and sustainable issues takes place regularly and volunteers are expected to participate actively. Start: September 2025, duration 10-12 months.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
Accomodation: volunteers flat together in groups of 2-6 persons. Food and transport: During working hours food is provided for volunteers. For the other meals, volunteers receive money according to German budget regulations for volunteering. Also a certain amount for transport is provided, which allows volunteers buying a monthly ticket. Language course: volunteers attend language courses at an evening school for learning/improving their language skills.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
Volunteers attend an on-arrival-training (7 days) as well as a mid-term-meeting (5 days). Regular sessions about political issues and sustainability are offered and volunteers are expected to play an active role. We would be very happy if volunteers are willing to take over responsibility and initiate their own (small or big) projects.
Applicants need to be open to working in an organization with a Christian profile and community life. We cooperate mainly with disadvantaged volunteers. In your application you need to make clear which obstacles you are facing. You also need to answer the following questions: Why do you want to work in our organization? Do you have experiences working with elderly? What are your learning expectations during this year of volunteering? Are you open to learning more about political issues and sustainability? If you ignore these questions, we can not consider your application.
