Purpose of the project: 

Vilnius Children’s and Youth Club Šatrija is a non-formal education institution for children and young people that has been operating for over 30 years. The mission of the club is to provide quality non-formal education services, to develop responsible and creative, civically active personalities, capable of adopting new experiences and realising themselves in modern society. The professional club’s team encourages personal self-expression and develops skills of cooperation, creativity, concentration and communication. The club is looking for international volunteers to assist youth workers with events organisation, participation in project activities, interaction with visitors of the youth space and help publicise the club’s activities by creating content for social media.

Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)

Project period – From 02/09/2024 to 27/06/2025

As a volunteer in Vilnius, you will have the opportunity to be hosted in a comfortable flat alongside other like-minded volunteers who share your passion for community service. You will have your own private room, providing a space for rest and relaxation. You will also get: – a monthly bus card; – a monthly stipend for food and pocket money; – a team of dedicated professionals, including a mentor for personal support, a project coordinator to help you get the most out of your experience, and a tutor from the hosting organization to guide you every step of the way.

As a volunteer, you will receive On-Arrival and Mid-Term trainings organized by the National Agency, as well as regular meetings with our dedicated Coordinating Organization. We understand that reflection is key to personal growth, which is why hosting organisation offers regular reflection sessions. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment to share your experiences, learn from one another, and grow both personally and professionally.

We are looking for sociable, responsible, creative, organised and open-minded people who can communicate in English, are knowledgeable about youth issues and enjoy an active social life.
