Purpose of the project: Our volunteering project includes 3 main activities. Volunteering fosters community spirit through activities aligned with the European Solidarity Corps. Activity “Let’s share what we love” encourages cross-cultural exchange, allowing volunteers to share their cultures and learn about others, emphasizing the diversity of volunteering practices. “Let’s experience inspiring events” involves volunteers in organizing events that promote European values like sustainability and inclusion, enhancing their sense of ownership and community connection. “Let’s talk about what matters” focuses on effective communication about volunteering opportunities, fostering an environment of trust and active citizenship. These activities not only enrich the volunteer’s experience but also strengthen community bonds and promote unity.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

While we don’t offer dedicated housing, we assist volunteers in finding nearby options such as Charles University dormitories or shared apartments. The organization does not cover the accommodation, but will offer a monthly allowance of 500 EUR, which should be used for accommodation, food and transport. Meals are not provided by the university but the pocket money is included in the monthly income. Prague’s public transportation system is convenient for travel between campus, accommodation, and other destinations. We can discuss possible financial support on covering a transportation pass.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Charles University offers tailored training for volunteers, focusing on hands-on experience through workshops, mentorship, and exercises to develop essential skills. Our approach emphasizes understanding responsibilities and institutional values, providing continuous support and feedback. This empowers volunteers for personal and professional growth, enabling significant contributions to the community.
