Long term volunteering project in Spain!

Purpose of the project: The project will be carried out in a small village in Ourense (Galicia/Spain). The basis of the project is to repopulate the village and not make it one of the thousands that disappear every year. To prevent this from happening, we are carrying out activities that energize the area and make it attractive so that young people decide to start a new life away from the stress of big cities. The tasks that volunteers will carry out are very varied. We will take care of the animals we have (sheep, goats, donkeys, rabbits, chickens,…). We will cultivate our organic gardens. We will do home renovations. We will help in the logistics of Erasmus+ projects in which we are leaders and others in which we are partners. We will develop new projects. We will help in the social bar that the village has. We will organize cultural events (concerts, sporting events, plays, cultural events,…).And we will contribute to the dissemination of the incredible and unknown history of the place,Couto Mixto

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The volunteers will sleep in a typical house in the town. The house has 2 floors. In the lower part there is the kitchen, the dining room and a small toilet. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, one of them with 2 beds. Also a full bathroom with a bathtub. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the village restaurant. The restaurant is the soul of the project. In addition to offering meals, it is the social center of the area. Public transport only runs once a day. But we have a car. Once a week we will all go to the largest town and there we can buy everything we need. You have bicycles also
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
We need young entrepreneurs, what we are going to value most is the desire to help. We are a small community and we don’t want problems. Here we all help each other. We are looking for educated and responsible people. We will help you carry out your ideas and projects. We will carry out all types of work (organic garden,animal care, home renovations, Erasmus+ project management,…). We will value knowledge on social networks, to carry out the project we need a lot of dissemination. It is essential to speak a little Spanish, the neighbors in the area only speak Spanish and Galician.
