Project name: EggenLend & St. Peter Community Centres in Austria
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Live sustainability and strengthen neighborhood” is the motto of Community Centres EggenLend and St.Peter, which offers a space for information, participation and networking. These centres welcomes everyone. Our broad activity offers are aimed at increasing the quality of life, developing social networks in the community and fostering civic engagement. We take care of Free-of-Charge shop, which is run by volunteers; promote cycling; organise game events and other activities; promote food-sharing and zero-waste initiatives. The volunteer will assist teams in both centres by organizing community events. S/he will be able to get in touch with people from different backgrounds and of different generations, and take actions in sustainability projects, such as Free-of-charge shop, open book shelves. We expect him/her to be open-minded, sensitive to different cultures and communicative-
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
EggenLend will provide a volunteer with a room at student’s dormitory. There is the opportunity either to use a provided bicycle to reach the organisation or to use public transportation (ticket provided). The locations are reachable by bus or tram. Food allowance and pocket money are provided according to programme guidelines.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The Volunteer will be provided at least with an On-Arrival Training and a Mid-Term Training, organized by the Austrian National Agency. The volunteer will have a possibility to attend German course. Ongoing support will be provided by experienced colleagues
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
A mature and enthusiastic volunteer, who can work with people from different backgrounds and generations, support sustainability projects and organise events. Intercultural openness is a must, basic knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage.

Project name: Youth Centre ECHO in Austria
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
JUKUS is a non-governmental organisation specialising in the promotion of youth, culture and sport. JUKUS runs a youth centre ECHO. The target group are young people with a multicultural background. Young people can spend their free time and join activities, such as games, indoor and outdoor activities, sports, wood and metal workshops, bicycle repair, cooking sessions, activities for boys* and girls* only. Learning support and coaching is provided. The role of the ECS volunteer is to support the team and their daily work, assist in workshops and projects, initiate own projects. Therefore, an active person with an interest in youth issues is welcome. Any special interests, such as sports, crafts and so on is a plus.

Project name: Contemporary art centre < rotor > – connecting art and society
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
< rotor > Gallery is located in the old town in Graz. < rotor >’s program focuses on contemporary art that tackles social, political, ecological, and economic issues. It aims to engage a wide audience, foster discussions, and promote values like human dignity, solidarity, and sustainability. Volunteers will be integrated into the “daily routine” of < rotor >. Each will have their own tasks and areas of work: project management, including communication with artists and other art institutions; exhibition setup; editorial assistance, including preparing printing materials; and press and public relations. The volunteering positions fit young eprsons who are motivated to explore the culture field, and do not have a solid experience or education in arts. Be prepared to assist in the smallest task, from taking care of the gallery space, to serving coffee or hanging the artworks on the wall.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The two volunteers will live in a shared apartment with single bedrooms, but shared cooking, washing, laundry, bathroom, and social facilities. The host organization will provide a bicycle in order to provide the mobility of the volunteer. They will receive self-allowance and pocket money according to program guidelines.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Volunteers will participate at On-Arrival Training and Mid-term meeting, organized by the National Agency. Volunteers will be able to take part in a German course and use the Online Language Support Tool. The communication in < rotor > will happen in English and German. Volunteers will be supported by a task-related and a personal mentor who will help to get part in the daily life of the organization. Regular meetings between the volunteer and the mentor are provided.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
The ideal volunteer is 18-22, curious about culture, and self-driven, with a passion for art, society, and communication. We seek motivated individuals to assist with organizational tasks; prior arts education or experience isn’t required as the role is mainly administrative and technical.

Project name: European Youth Forum – assist at international youth events in Austria
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
EYFON – European Youth Forum, a meeting and dialogue centre at Forchenstein Castle (Europaburg) in Neumarkt in der Steiermark, It is located a rural area, surrounded by mountains and forest. EYFON collaborates with youth across Europe, promoting European values and addressing current challenges. Through seminars, we engage young Europeans in discussions on the continent’s future, with a focus on strengthening European citizenship. Our program centers on European ideas, exploring topics such as tolerance, cultural diversity, and migration. Professional talks are complemented by social activities, cultural excursions, and sports events. Volunteers play a key role in organizing events, accompanying groups on excursions, assisting with free-time activities, managing social media, helping with office tasks, and participating in activities with partner organizations.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Proper accommodation in Neumarkt is provided; volunteers will live in a flat. Self-allowance for food and pocket money follows program guidelines.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Volunteers will participate in On-Arrival Training organized by the National Agency. They will have access to the Online Language Support Tool. The organization provides task-related support, supervision, and guidance through experienced staff.
