Long term volunteering project in Croatia!

Location: Donja Mlinoga, Croatia

Project name: Disaster relief – earthquake affected area – help children & youth

Hosting organization: ADRA Hrvatska

Sending organization: “Common Sense” Youth Organization

Purpose of the project: ADRA Croatia is searching for 2 volunteers who are willing to work with mostly children and elderly people on location of Banovina where the earthquake happened 2 years ago. Local community is still recovering and every support is helpful. Volunteers are expected to visit the beneficiaries of our humanitarian organization and to participate in joint activities for children at a nearby school and volunteer center.

Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)

Project period – 01/10/2023 to 30/11/2024 (43 weeks)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: At the volunteer center, we provide comfortable and convenient accommodation options for our volunteers. Our accommodation includes well-maintained and clean rooms with essential amenities such as comfortable beds, storage space, and study areas. We offer separate rooms or shared dormitories, depending on your preference and availability. Additionally, accommodation provides common areas where you can socialize and interact with fellow volunteers. These spaces are equipped with comfortable seating, recreational activities and a communal kitchen where you can cook. We take care of transport.

Training during the activity: The volunteer will have the opportunity to learn about local culture and language.

Participant Profile: English speaking, friendly, has experience working with children, outdoor lover; initiative and independent; ability to work in a team; communication skills, open for learning new things. Driving license if possible.
