Your Role and Contribution The volunteer will primarily assist with the association’s daily administrative and supportive functions: Office Support: Archiving, data organization, and managing internal communication. Campaign Assistance: Helping to organize and run local blood donation and health awareness events. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: 

🏠 Accommodation Shared Apartment Living: Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared, furnished apartment in Adana. You will have a private or shared room, depending on the apartment layout, but all common areas (kitchen, bathroom, living room) will be shared with other ESC volunteers or young people. The accommodation is equipped with basic necessities (utilities, heating/cooling, and Wi-Fi access). Food and Pocket Money Food Allowance: volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance to cover grocery shopping and meal preparation.

Training during the activity

We prioritize continuous learning and skill development. Volunteers receive non-formal training focused on developing specialized methodology for sensitive work with our target groups (patients and families). Training also covers essential group dynamics and soft skills, including icebreakers, energizers, and team-building techniques crucial for effective community engagement. To ensure smooth integration and daily communication in Adana, regular Turkish Language Lessons are provided by our local team, continuous mentorship supports task-specific.

We are looking for an enthusiastic ESC Volunteer to join our association in Adana, Türkiye, and help us support patients with blood disorders, particularly Thalassemia. What We Are Looking For: We welcome all applicants, but we are especially seeking candidates who meet one or more of the following criteria: Individuals with Fewer Opportunities: Applicants facing social, economic, or geographical difficulties. Personal Experience: Individuals who are Thalassemia patients or have a chronic health condition, bringing unique empathy. NGO Experience: Previous experience with relevant organizations like the Red Crescent (Kızılay) or similar NGOs. Skills: Strong organizational skills and willingness to assist with daily office/administrative tasks. Your Contribution: Support Services: Assisting with patient and family support activities.
