The project objectives are the following: to give young people opportunities to learn new set of professional skills, gain experience in leadership, team building and communication, develop intercultural dialogue and cooperation between young people and local inhabitants for better employment opportunities in the future. Through this project we want to promote solidarity between nations, to integrate and unite the European volunteers and local young people, promoting European cultures, languages and European Solidarity Corps program, as well as to make changes in young people’s life and environment around them. The volunteer will work in the kindergarten “Namiņš” He/she will have the opportunity to learn the theoretical and practical aspects of working with children, including learning about Latvian educational system and methods used in children’s education.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The volunteer will have 6 working hours every working day. The volunteer will have two days off per week on Saturday and Sunday. The volunteer will live in the flat together with other volunteers from different countries. 2 people in one flat. The organization will provide accommodation from the project budget. The flat will be equipped with all necessary household appliances. Food allowance – 150,00 EUR/month, Pocket money – 5,00 EUR/day. Travel costs – 309,00 EUR.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will be invited to participate in the On-Arrival and Mid-term training organized by Latvian National agency.
Participant profile
Volunteer needs to know English at least B1 level. Volunteer need to have motivation to work with children, to help teachers and to show his/her creativity during the project.
