Join us at Um-Welthaus, our vibrant educational house in Aalen, Germany, where local and international people, ideas, and initiatives come together. You will support non-formal peace education, help organize creative and inclusive events, and work with diverse groups, including youth and children and refugees. You will be actively involved in: – Co-organizing peace education event and seminars – Supporting intercultural and educational activities like excursions, festivals, camps, etc., for youth, children and families – Helping with media and visibility – Supporting the creation of and running workshops, both online and on-site – Organising leisure activities for children during holidays or bringing in your own ideas to contribute.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
You will be hosted in a shared flat in the centre of Aalen, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and our office. Monthly food allowance and pocket money are provided according to ESC guidelines. Travel costs to and from Aalen will be reimbursed based on ESC distance bands, and local transport related to project activities is also covered.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
We are looking for motivated young people (aged 18–30) who are curious, open-minded, and ready to take part in social and intercultural work. You don’t need to be an expert, just interested in areas outlined above. We especially welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds and those with fewer opportunities. While English is widely used, knowledge of German (B1 LEVEL OR ABOVE) is required it for some project work. Knowledge of Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Arabic, or French is a bonus, as we work with diverse communities. But don’t worry, you will have plenty of chances to improve your German (and other skills) through language learning, everyday practice and support from our team.
