There are two volunteering opportunities within this call. They take place at different dates and revolve around slightly different topics. Please inform yourself about the different opportunities here:

For more information about “ESC at farm, working with young people and animals” visit the link. 

Tasks include: 

  • Working at a farm with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
  • Assisting with environmental education activities, including practical and manual tasks such as redesigning mainly outdoor areas;
  • Supporting open afternoon activities for children and young people, developing and implementing creative projects such as photography workshops, nature exhibitions, or photo books.
  • Contributing to the farm’s social media visibility by updating the Instagram account with the latest news and events.
  • Learning about the care and basic maintenance of farm animals;
  • Planning and implementing events together with the other volunteers for the community of Bremen.

The tasks include:

  • Working with groups of children in art studios including preparation and debriefing.
  • Supporting, assisting and guiding children with their individual and joint art work and the team in their daily tasks.
  • Participating in projects with other collaborating organizations or inside the organisation.
  • Planning and implementing events together with the other volunteers for the community of Bremen

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: 

Travel expenses to and from the project will be covered up to a certain amount which is set by ESC-guidelines. Accommodation as well as food and pocket money will be provided by the organization. Application conditions and requirements for volunteering: 

✔ At least beginner level of English knowledge
✔ Between 18 and 30 years old
✔ friendly, positive and patient
✔ strong motivation for work with children
✔ good communication skills, ready for team work
✔ responsible attitude
