Purpose of the project: The volunteer’s focus is on serving and organizing the lunch offering at the youth center “Jugend am Münster” (JAM). One of the main tasks involves engaging with a diverse range of guests. The offering is aimed at young people and is designed to be easily accessible. The main emphasis lies on direct interaction, support, and conversation with the youth. Furthermore, the volunteer should have the opportunity to get involved in other areas of work at YMCA Ulm according to their interests. This includes holiday camps for children and young people, cultural events in our café, training opportunities for volunteers, and musical groups such as Ten Sing or Choriosity.

Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)

Project period  – 11/09/2023 to 31/07/2024 (10 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:

Rented apartment for 3 persons directly at the place of service; one room is reserved for the volunteer, use of kitchen, washing machine etc. and other adjoining rooms. During the opening hours of Café JAM (Monday to Thursday), the volunteer receives a free lunch. The arrival and departure will be discussed with the volunteer and will be replaced by us 100%.

Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:

You should be between 18 and 30 years old and be open to working with young people. You should be interested in learning German and be willing to establish contact with children and youth. Working in a team is a prerequisite. The willingness to participate in evening events should also be present.
