Purpose of the project: Onestin Youth Association believes in a flourishing and resilient society driven by sustainable positive change. Our mission is to inspire and empower youngsters and young adults from different backgrounds facing different challenges, to create meaningful connections with themselves, with the community and with nature. In addition to the town location, Perma Halos, located in the remote area of Manastirea Casin commune, by the river Halos, surrounded by hills and forests, is giving space for the young people to develop and implement activities linked to environmental awareness, Agro-ecology , Permaculture, crafting, and personal development. The philosophy of the place is directly linked to permaculture principles and ethics and serves as an ever-growing socio-cultural and educational centre since 2020, home of more than 20 international and volunteering projects, camps and artist residences.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: Participants will sleep in shared rooms of two and in a house shared with all the other volunteers and part of the team. Besides the main house, there is an activity room where you can spend time watching movies, playing board games and musical instruments, social interaction or creative workshops.
Training during the activity: There will be 3 types of training: – before the project, with the sending organization – after the first weeks from the beginning of the project, online on-arrival training with the Romanian National Agency – during the project, once or twice a month with the mentor
Participant Profile: The profile of volunteers: – flexible, open minded, adaptable – willing to work in a remote area and engaging in farm activities – willing to share accommodation and facilities with peers from different countries.
