Purpose of the project: The main goal of the project is to break cultural and social barriers through cultural exchange with the local community. This volunteering mobility will take place in our Foundation’s office in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, Poland, while others in kindergartens and another NGO office. Responsibilities include content creation for our social media (taking photos, filming, publishing posts, designing templates on Canva) and assisting in organizing events. Working hours are 35 hours per week in host.org. + 5 extra hours per week for organizational meetings to promote the ESC and the project. We are open to hosting a volunteer with fewer opportunities. The volunteer needs to provide a clean criminal record.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/03/2024 to 31/07/2024 (22 weeks)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements: The volunteer will be accommodated in a double room in a flat shared with other volunteers (about 5 people in one flat). The kitchen and bathroom are shared with flatmates. Flats have internet access, basic kitchen equipment, clean towels and bedding sets. Monthly allowance: pocket money (150 EUR) + food money (650 PLN) + local transportation card for buses and trams. Required medical tests in Poland are covered by the project. Travel costs to Wroclaw and back are reimbursed based on the distance calculator provided by the ESC program.
Participant Profile: We are looking for a volunteer who wants to support the NGO sector, is interested in content creation, digital marketing and managing social media, photography/filming, not afraid of office work, responsible, punctual and reliable, has great spoken and written English skills, motivated to learn Polish, able to plan time and work independently, flexible and helpful, imaginative and creative, has a positive attitude towards potential challenges when lof living abroad, preferably experienced in event management or ready to learn how to organise group events.
Training during the activity: Polish classes are provided twice a week and are included in the volunteering hours. During the first week, the volunteer will take part in training with a project coordinator to learn about volunteering work and flat rules, safety rules, EU health insurance and complimentary insurance, receive a basic useful Polish language vocabulary book, and participate in fun team-building activities. Within the first 2 months in the project, the volunteer will take part in an On-Arrival training in Warsaw.
