Purpose of the project: Volunteers of Sininauhasäätiö have priceless value in our homeless´ people’s everyday life by giving them unconditional love and time. Do you want to help the unfortunate ones, while gaining essential work experience and new contacts to your network? Join Sininauhasäätiö´s volunteers. Sininauhasäätiö offers various kinds of volunteer work tasks among the homeless, immigrants, or the otherwise disadvantaged ones. We are looking for 2 volunteers for the practical work with our customers and 2 office workers for the fundraising. Practical work volunteer works in shelters for homeless people, in supported housing units, and organizes free time activities for our customers. Office work volunteers help with social media tasks, write blogs, fundraising tasks, and campaigns and learn project- and marketing work in practice.

Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)

Project period – 01/09/2023 to 31/08/2024 (12 months)

Accommodation, food, and transport arrangements: 

Volunteers live in a rented flat in Helsinki with roommates. Shared bathroom and kitchen. / Family accommodation. Food money is paid to an S-group card which you can use for supermarkets or restaurants. The volunteer gets the city card for public transportation inside Helsinki.

Application conditions and requirements for volunteering: 

For practical work, volunteers should have the will to help people in a weak situation. Positive attitude and open mind for learning new! For office work: Marketing skills or interest are a big bonus, social media skills, writing skills, and brave and unyielding character are big plus! A positive attitude in life is needed.
