The project:

The project will provide participants with frames and tools for mindfulness-based stress reduction. The project guides participants to find new ways of personal development, self-acceptance, self-expression and self-transformation through mindfulness-based stress reduction.

During the project, a combination of meditation, body awareness, yoga, breathing techniques, dance and movement, exploration of behaviour patterns, feeling and action will be used. Increased mindfulness can bring balance to the life of youth workers and their organizations.

The second stage of this project will be held in Georgia on October 10-17, 2023.

 Accordingly, the project pursues the following objectives: 

– To develop focus, concentration and a clear mind;

– To stimulate self-reflection through personal development sessions;

– To enhance a healthy lifestyle, physical flexibility, coordination and body awareness through experimenting with different styles of yoga and contemporary dance movements;

– To equip them with new tools and methods for their local projects.

Participants profile

Participants are expected to have the following profile:

 – Resident in Azerbaijan;

– Age 18+;

– Having at the least basic level of the English language;

– Those, who are working directly with youngsters and are motivated to support their mental well-being and personal development;

– Available for both stages of the project;

– The course is designed for youth workers, coaches, youth leaders, educators, social workers, and NGO workers. Of course, newcomers to the Erasmus+ programme are highly welcomed!

– Priority will be given to those new to the NGO sector and youth workers working directly with youngsters with fewer opportunities or youth workers with migrant backgrounds themselves.
