The project:
This project aims to combine the promotion of entrepreneurship and raising awareness on environmental issues among young people. In some of the participating countries, unemployment is high, especially among young people and in others it is quite low. This project wants to encourage young people to engage in entrepreneurship and to develop new ideas and approaches for their own business models. For more information please, click on InfoPack
Key objectives:
- To increase environmental awareness among young people
- To promote youth participation
- To encourage young people to put their ideas into practice using a sustainable, ecological approach as well as increasing capacity of youth organisations and youth groups in addressing community development issues mainly through ecology, youth entrepreneurship, active citizenship and non-formal education
- To promote the concept of “active citizenship” by reminding young people of values such as solidarity and dialogue, values that they will demonstrate both in activities within the group and in interactions with members of the local community
- To ensure that young people are more intertwined with each other and their environment to contribute to the achievement of environmental targets, supporting environmental policies in the European Union
- To inspire the young generation to take challenges and initiatives towards the environment and entrepreneurship to promote cultural awareness, tolerance and solidarity between countries to increase knowledge of the participants on Erasmus+, to support creating new socio-environmental business ideas and projects
Participants profile:
- young people with fewer opportunities
- aged over 18-30
- able to build good relations with other participants from different cultures
- ready to consider socially enterprising solutions to assist their communities or have an idea for social enterprise in their communities
- motivated to establish and manage social entrepreneurship entities following the project
- ready to challenge themselves and guide others
- interested in gaining new skills, knowledge on social entrepreneurship
