Transport cost for Azerbaijan – 360 Euro (this cost is considered to be spent for tickets which is economic and environmental. It is not for personal use!)

NOTE: 100% of the accommodation, food and transportation during the project will be covered with the support of Erasmus+. 

Important note: Our project is designed as a long-learning process. The 1st stage is followed by the 2nd stage. Therefore, the participation in both stages is crucial to reach the desired impact! Technical details will be shared with selected participants!

The project:

With the LTTC “The Journey Within” we would like to let youth workers and educators actively working with young people discover outdoor education and adventure based learning and develop their competencies to apply new gained knowledge in their practices especially in relation to empowering young people from diverse backgrounds at local level.

PROJECT STRUCTURE: 

PART 1: 30/04-08/05 Sazava, Czechia. The TC will will allow the participants to learn about outdoor by trying out different forms of outdoor learning and acquire the set of competences needed for a youth worker when working with outdoor activities.

PART 2: Local phase: participants will practice gained skill in local realities by trying out outdoor methods in their work

PART 3: 24/09-02/10 Nagybörzsöny, Hungary  The TC will focus on the ways of balanced incorporation of outdoor education into youth work. 

 Accordingly, the project pursues the following objectives: 

-To discover outdoor education and experiential learning in its diversity of forms and methods;

-To give the participants an opportunity to directly experience various outdoor methods and techniques and reflect on ways of incorporating these methods and techniques into their daily youth work with young people including young people with fewer opportunities, young people from marginalized background, radicalized youth or with refugees;

-To support exchanging and sharing practices, experiences, methods and techniques of outdoor education across and increasing the quality of youth work in participants’ countries;

-To develop participants’ competences in designing, planning,implementing and evaluating outdoor and experiential learning activities.

Participants profile

Youth workers and educators working with young people from different background. Participants are expected to have the following profile:

– Should be 18 years old or over
– Should be able to communicate in English
– Should take part in the whole period of the training course
– Should be ready to promote activities in own community after the training course ends
– Selected participants are in charge of organising a local event (seminar, workshop etc) for own community within the month and a half after the training course comes to an end
– Selected participants are in charge of dissemination and visibility activities of the project
