The project:
The aim of the project is to increase the quality of youth work in rural areas by increasing the qualifications of the youth workers who will support young people living in the countryside. The Rural Practices + project is a study visit to be held in Muş between 24th – 30th May 2022 within the scope of the Erasmus + Youth Workers mobility program. Our project team will provide a variety of non-formal learning methods with learner-based participatory principles that will create a learning space for youth workers. These methods are activators, interactive presentations, competitions, discussions, simulations and cultural nights. The project will include a total of 32 youth workers from nine countries, including Turkey, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Morocco, and Palestine. Eighteen of these participants will be especially young people with geographical barriers. These young people will be located in remote areas, rural or mountainous regions, small islands or border areas, areas where urban problems are experienced, and areas where services are taken less. Besides, we will give priority to young people who are unemployed and economically disadvantaged families. The most important effect of our project is to educate youth workers who work in rural areas and to support young people living in rural areas. We believe that by strengthening these young people who need more support than young people living in cities, we will contribute to strengthening society.
