Purpose of the project: Aims:
– to improve social responsibility and the sense of solidarity of the volunteers by involving them into youth work activities with disadvantaged children (age 5-15)
– to improve soft skills of the Volunteers like: self-knowledge, self esteem, motivation, assertivity, independency
– to improve the Volunteer’s knowledge in methods on social and pedagogical fields.
It’s an afternoon program, we are open from 2-7 pm on weekdays. We provide help in homework, and different non formal learning opportunities. The volunteers organize workshops like dancing, games, crafting etc. It requires lots of background knowledge about culture, communication, which we’ll teach you, if you choose to participate in the programme. Most of the children are in their primary school years, living in the local segregates, where we also work with the local community (street social work). Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/08/2021 to 31/07/2022 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
You will be sharing fully furnished flats in Gyöngyös. Each Volunteer has his/her own room, but the kitchen and bathroom are shared. Now we are searching for 6 Volunteers. The rent and utilities (incl internet) is covered by the programme. Food: every month, we provide pocket money+food allowance, so you can plan your meals yourself. Travel: If you live outside of the EU, you must have a D Visa to participate. Travel grant is calculated according to distance bands published by EC
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
This ESC project mostly a training for people who want to learn about themselves, and about social, and educational tools, because they are interested in this, or they want to work in this field. We think about ourselves as professionals who want to provide real learning processes with traditional (readings) and progressive non formal tools (exercises, games) for the volunteers.
