Purpose of the project: Are you interested in a sport? Do you like working with young people? Then be part of our team of the youth center “JUKUZ”! You assist in all kinds of sports events, youth activities and youth exchanges. You also gain insight into the running of a very active youth center. Apart from sports projects, we also offer a wide variety of different activities for young people, e.g. youth radio, media work, music projects … Moreover, you have the opportunity to plan and implement your own ideas and projects. Usually, you work in the afternoon and evening, so you have enough time in the mornings to do language courses. Our aim is to introduce our target groups to intercultural exchange through the help of the European volunteer. The JUKUZ is experienced in hosting volunteers from Germany and Europe. The JUKUZ is located right in the center of Aschaffenburg. What can you expect of Aschaffenburg? With 70 000 inhabitants, it is a very vibrant city with lots of opportunities to go out.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/10/2021 to 30/09/2022 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
You share a flat with another volunteer close to the center of Aschaffenburg. You have your own room with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The flat is fitted with a washing machine. Internet access is available. All costs related to the accommodation as well as the monthly food allowance is paid by the hosting organization. You will get a bus ticket for Aschaffenburg and a discount train card for Germany. The JUKUZ will provide a bike for you to get around in Aschaffenburg.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
You have an ESC sending organization and are registered in PASS • you are crazy about sports and practice sport actively • you are experienced in working with young people • you have (basic) knowledge of the German language (please show in your application) • You are creative and full of ideas. We especially encourage female applicants, as the project is run by a male social worker and therefore both genders would be represented. Due to the COVID Crisis, we only accept applicants from EU member states for the moment, this may change again in the future once embassies issue visa again!
