Project name: 9 Month Volunteering Placement at the Local School in Kalvarija

Purpose of the project: This gonna be your lifetime experience full of amazing memories! #WePromiseIt! A volunteer will spend most of his time with youngsters – participating in events, doing their own initiatives, providing their own culture etc. The rest of the time volunteers will have to help run regular tasks in administration and take part in organizing bigger events. Sūduvos gymnasium provides general education more than for 400 students at the age of 15-19. The students are taught in a multi-class environment by the staff comprising 70 teachers. The range of options we provide is as wide as possible so that each student can choose the most suitable orientation within the curriculum. A variety of events, celebrations are organised by students so volunteering will be a part of them.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/10/2020 to 30/09/2021 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
Volunteer will be provided monthly food and pocket money. Daily commute and other necessary transport expenses will be covered. Accommodation will be found according to our budget and volunteers needs – volunteers will live in a separate room in a shared flat with other volunteers, provided with all necessary utilities (fridge, oven, etc.) in a shared space. Living place will be in Marijampolė. All the required medical examinations, health and safety training at the beginning
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
Motivation for working with children, know what is to be young, wild and free, is motivated to spend 7 months in Lithuania, is creative and imaginative, have organizational skills, have positive attitude, is open-minded and honest, is flexible, friendly, helpful; like working in big groups, is responsible and trustworthy, want to learn Lithuanian Volunteer is not obligated to have special qualifications to work with children/youngster, but experience in that field will be essential. The volunteer should be ready to work in a bigger group of children/youngsters for a longer time.
