Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:

After your arrival, one of the assigned assistants helps you to get to your apartment and supports you to adapt to your new environment. Note that you are going to live with 3 or 5 foreign volunteers in one apartment and one of them is going to share the room with you. In general, the bedrooms are for 2 or 3 people. The kitchen and bathroom are common for all flat-mates hence it is important to look after personal hygiene, keep your space tidy and clean. The flat is equipped with basic furniture and equipment. You don’t need to bring additional belongings like cutlery, plates, cups, etc. However, you will need to bring bedclothes, sheets, linen, pillow cover or you can buy them in stores after your arrival. Additionally, you will be asked to pay the deposit of about €120 to the owner of the flat to cover the inevitable damages. The deposit money eventually will be returned at the end of the renting period. Pocket money will be given to volunteers by the coordinating organisation once every two months  (around €120 per month). Generally it should be €4 per day. Food money is 400 polish złoty per month. With the prices in Poland, this is the average student budget for food.
