Purpose of the project: Auryn Association was born in November 2001 with the aim of creating an educational and leisure time space, to empower the possibilities of children, youngsters and elderly people in the city of Leon. The association works in the field of prevention, leisure time education, human rights education, theatre promotion, intercultural education, environmental education, youth entertainment and sociocultural development with a personal identity and pedagogical approach. The volunteer will participate, with two other European Volunteers, on the activities that Auryn Association develops, divided on different projects. The volunteer will have an active role about the implementation of the activities. The volunteering tasks will be related to the after school and leisure time activities (planning, developing, evaluating). The volunteer will work in a coordinated way with the coordinator of the association and with the group of workers, volunteers and animators of the association.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/10/2020 to 01/08/2021 (10 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
We will provide an apartment appropriated for the basic needs of the whole volunteering team. They will share an apartment with two other volunteers. Additionally, we’ll provide a weekly allowance for food for each volunteer. Apart from covering the apartment and the allowance, the European Solidarity Corps Project provides a quantity as pocket money for the volunteers to use for their own expenses. The apartment is close to Auryn Association and to the city center, so transport is not needed.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
This volunteering opportunity is suitable for young people interested in volunteering in a non-profit Association of a local community which develops projects of educational intervention with youngsters and children at social exclusion. The volunteer will have the opportunity for participating actively in an Intercultural organization. Some aspects, like training or experience in the field of children and young people education or some knowledge of Spanish, will be valued positively.
