Purpose of the project: This project will give the volunteers an opportunity to join our fun, creative, and hardworking team ar Kanepes Kulturas centrs, where they will be able to perform various tasks based on their skills and interests. Kanepes Kulturas centrs is an independent culture center aimed at providing a diverse range of cultural, entertainment and social events to locals and visitors of Riga, and it offers a wide range of activities and events, such as exhibitions, concerts, public discussions, poetry and prose readings, film screenings, workshops, and different kinds of performances. The volunteers will assist in the daily cultural activities at KKC, disseminate information about the events around Riga, create content for the social media accounts of KKC, etc. Moreover, they will be encouraged to come up with their own ideas and initiatives to enrich the center’s cultural programme and to improve any other aspects of our work.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/09/2020 to 31/08/2021 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The volunteers will each have an isolated room, as well as a kitchen and a bathroom with all the essential equipment, in a shared flat not too far from the working place. They will be provided with bicycles for going to work and to explore the city in their free time, and money spent on public transport for traveling between their flat and work will also be reimbursed. Each month, volunteers will receive pocket money, as well as money for food.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
We are open to volunteers from different backgrounds and experiences as long as they are motivated and have an interest in culture and creativity. We are looking for 2 volunteers, and ideally, one of them would be interested to work in graphic design, photo and video production, while the other one could be a person with a completely different background such as economics or management, and could assist us with more administrative tasks. And both of them will be also involved in the organisation of our various events.
