Purpose of project: ESC project takes place in an intentional community in Finnish archipelago. Livonsaaren yhteisökylä (or Livonsaari community village) is a community active in ecological movement situated in Southwest Finland. We are around forty adults and fifteen children living and running own economies within a 66 ha land. Volunteers are involved into wide range of countryside tasks: gardening in an organic community supported agriculture garden, construction of houses, maintaining common areas and organizing events. Activities happen mostly outdoors in a close connection to the nature and people.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/04/2020 to 31/10/2020 (7 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
Volunteers live in the centre of the village above the local shop. There are two rooms available which are shared by the gender. The shower, laundry washing machine and laundry drying room are in the separate building across the yard. The property’s yard is spacey and can be used for hosting events and relaxing. The community land is situated 500m away from the accommodation and can be reached by bicycles or on foot. There is a developed ride-sharing system or several cars available for booking rides to the towns. Volunteers will be provided by lunches in the local shop.

We prefer a volunteer, who: – wants to live in the countryside close to nature – wants to work outdoors – is capable of physical work – is interested in environmental issues – is interested in ecology and sustainability – wants to learn new skills, especially the ones typical for rural life
