Project description: Volunteering in the cultural field in association Xena, Italy

Purpose of project: Xena is a non-profit cultural association for the social promotion, based in Padova, North- Eastern Italy. It works in the field of intercultural education, non-formal education, vocational training, promotion of active citizenship, promoting projects both at local and international level. It promotes projects mainly within the frame of European Programmes – such as Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps and others. The volunteer will support the team on the implementation of these projects as well as Xena’s local activities, such as our Free Market, training, informative events, festivals and cultural activities. The volunteer will also support us in developing informative and graphic communication material for our activities, and will be involved in the promotion of ESC programme. Moreover, Xena supports the volunteers in developing a personal project, depending on his/her skills, experience and interest.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/06/2020 to 30/11/2020 (6 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The volunteer will live in a flat in Padova with other volunteers or Italian people, lodged in a single or double room upon availability and will have the use of a kitchen, bathroom and of the common spaces of the house. He/she will monthly receive some money to buy food and the pocket money (to be defined). He/She will have a bus card to move around in the city.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
There are not strict requirements about the age, gender and background of the volunteer. We expect that the volunteer is motivated to join us for 6 months supporting our daily office work as well as be available in dealing with local events sometimes during evenings and weekends as well.
