Long term ESC project in Spain!

Location: Canary islands, Santa Brigiada, Spain

Hosting Organization – Mojo de Caña Association

Sending organization: “Common Sense” Youth Organization

Purpose of project: Mojo de Caña was founded in 2001, in Santa Brigida municipality (Gran Canaria Island,Spain). Association is consisted of people that are in love with activism, oriented toward social development projects and inclusion; using arts, non formal education, human rights based education as a motor for social change. Tasks will combine office and internet research tasks with field work and direct contact with local community ( from answering emails, to developing a concepts, campaigns,presentations, educational summer camps, festivals ,EU projects etc.) . Her/his creativity, and eagerness to contribute, will be essential, also personal ideas and input of the volunteer will be highly appreciated. Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)

Project period  – 01/10/2020 to 31/08/2021 (11 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:

Volunteers will share flat with other volunteers/local youth in urban areas of the island. Usually Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and/or Santa Brigida. All cost about travel, food, local transport, healthy insurance all covered by organization under the European Solidarity Corps framework.

Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:

• Young people between 18 and 30 years • Young, dynamic, entrepreneurial, outgoing and participative • Creative and willing to express their creativity • People who like to be in touch with nature and like to live & explore rural areas • Interested in working in youth projects and be part of an organization • Have a basic level of Spanish, so they can begin to help with basic tasks • Passionate about culture and youth, eager to discover new cultures and experiences.
