Purpose of the project: This is a group volunteering activity that will take place in the youth center and youth hostel of Idrija, Slovenia. Last year Idrija Youth center took over the Idrija Hostel. We would like for the hostel to be integrated into our activities and we’d like to use this chance to contribute to developing the skills of young volunteers, such as team work, project planning, implementation and other connected with youth tourism. The first project in 2019 was a true success, so we would like to continue the work we have started. The aim of the project is to increase the possibilities of the Idrija youth center and hostel, expand the international youth work, provide new work experience for young people and by renovating the hostel to raise the recognition of Idrija and create a tourist offer from the youth for the youth (innovative guided tours, warm and welcoming spaces full of youth energy ).

Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)

Project period  – 01/03/2020 to 30/04/2020 (2 months)

Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:

We’re searching for 15 volunteers that have time in March or April 2020 and that are willing to contribute their creative energy to improve the look and the ambience of our youth center. They should be able to (or willing to learn) to use basic working tools, prepared to do some manual work and ready to work in a team.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:

The participants will receive a reimbursment of their travel costs. There is no need for public transport, since they will be located in the youth hostel which is in the same building as the youth center. They will receive pocket money that will cover the costs of their food and some free time activities.
