Purpose of the project: Main objective of the ESC Project EUROMIJA is to support Roma inclusion in Croatia. Specific objectives are to raise awareness in society about problems faced by Roma and supporting empowerment of Roma community. The volunteers will be involved in the range of activities organized and run by the RNC including preparation and implementation of number of workshops in the schools and other institutions in Croatia. Workshops will be implemented with the aim of raising awareness of the students about the Human and Minority Rights, inequality, diversity and other related topics. Volunteers will be involved in writing of articles for the Portal ROMI.HR related to Roma issues and other subjects. Volunteers will together organize at least one street activity during their voluntary service. Volunteers will, as well, implement his/her personal project based on volunteer ideas.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/04/2020 to 31/12/2020 (9 months)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The volunteers will live together in an apartment in the town of Idrija. There will be no need for a ticket for the public transport, because the town is very small and it’s easy to come from the apartment to the youth center walking. As far as the food is concerned, the volunteers will receive approximately 160 € per month to arrange their food. There will also be additional pocket money for them.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
We are looking for 2 outgoing, open-minded volunteers, who would like to work with youth, learn about different cultures and share knowledge/experience with others (youth, guests).
