Purpose of the project: The SHG Saarland Heilstätten GmbH – based in Saarbrücken is a nonprofit corporation under public law. As a sponsor of hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, out-patient nursing care and out-patient services, medical care centers and a senior center, the SHG Group serves health care.The SHG is based in Saarbrücken, the capital of Saarland. The Saarland borders on France and Luxembourg. The Saarland belongs to the Saar-Lor-Lux-Area and has numerous cooperations with the associated regionsThe organisation Saarland-Heilstätten GmbH (SHG) offers the volunteers in the project the possibility not only in own and cooperating clinics and nursing homes in Germany, but also to work in cooperating clinics in France. That’s not how the volunteers learn only the professional life of nurses, physicians and therapists and the many other professions in a hospital know, but have also a direct comparison to work in hospitals in France.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/09/2019 to 31/08/2021 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The SHG has several apartments near the pawls for every three to four volunteers. Each volunteer gets their own room and shares a kitchen and bathroom with their flatmates. There is also a shared lounge. Every working day there is a meal for free at the place of work. Otherwise, there are 150 euros pocket money and about 300 euros for living expenses. Of course, the travel expenses are also taken over. You also get a monthly ticket for public transport.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering:
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in care and medicine. They should be open-minded, communicative, have very good social skills and be happy to help the sick and the elderly. There should also be the will to become part of a multiprofessional and multicultural team. Language skills in german are necessary (at least level A2) because of the direct work with patients.
