Purpose of the project: Malagne Archéoparc is a non profit organisation managing a Gallo-roman archaeological site since 1993. Its aims are to enhance and protect the heritages, to pass on and share knowledges about Gallo roman history through know-hows and techniques,to make the past alive through scientific researches based on experimental archaeology, through animals living on site, through crafts(wo)men gatherings; through workshops such as bread baking, forging… and rediscovering of old techniques The volunteer’s tasks will be to help in mostly manual tasks: gardening, fixing fences, pruning, building shelters and bridgefoot, taking care of the animals; and pedagogical tasks: helping the pedagogical staff with groups of children visiting, supporting during the re-enactement event, showing how to bake bread, forge with traditional techniques. The volunteer can also, to some extent, assist in the archaelogical researches. Very quiet activity from Nov till February, very busy from April till October.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – 01/09/2019 to 31/08/2020 (1 year)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
The volunteers will have a private room in a fully-equipped shared house or apartment in the city of Rochefort with other ESC volunteers (1.5 km away from the Archéoparc). Food: the volunteer will receive a budget and will take care of the meals by her/himself. Participation in the ESC is free of charge for the participant, except for exceptional contribution to travel costs. The volunteer will receive free board and lodging during the whole activity. In addition, she/he will receive a small allowance (pocket money) for personal expenses throughout the duration of the activity.

NO ALLERGY NO FEAR OF ANIMALS Motivated to join the activity; open-minded and pro-active / agreeing with a very flexible schedule throughout the year / not be afraid of spending time outside and to appreciate the contact with nature/ certificate of good conduct.
