Purpose of the project: We are looking for three volunteers to teach our students different languages – English, Russian, Spanish, French, German and culture and traditions of volunteers’ countries and probably mother tongue.
Number of volunteers: 1 volunteer between 18-30 years old (Only Azerbaijani citizenship)
Project period – September 2019 -July 2020 (1 year)

About the organization: Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev “School – Razgrad is 27- a year-old school located in the southern part of the city in Orel residential area. Its spacious 4-floor building contains a gym and a swimming pool, which is the only one in the city and in the area. There are 20 classrooms, a library with a big collection of literature. There is a playground with volleyball and basketball courts. There are three fully-equipped computer rooms and а science lab which are used for learning, teacher training, and after-school activities. Students have free access to all the school facilities. There are about 250 students in the school between 7-14 years old. Our school is attended by students from different social origins (Turkish, Bulgarian and Roman). We have also several disabled students who are fully integrated into all aspects of our school life. Our aims are to build strong partnerships and to promote innovation and competitiveness of Bulgarian students abroad; to improve their speaking skills and to provoke their curiosity of other European cultures and traditions.
Voluntary operation time and project activities: The volunteers will be entitled to two consecutive free days per week and national holidays. Vacation periods and weekly rest days will be agreed between our organization and the volunteers. Volunteers will work about 30 hours per week plus Bulgarian lessons. Weekends are free, but If it’s needed to work at the weekends, they will have days free during the week.
Application conditions and requirements for volunteering: We aim our volunteers to teach our students different European languages, their mother tongues, culture, traditions, art, music, to teach their history and country and to communicate in English to improve students’ English speaking skills.With the help of the volunteers, we also want to organize events of different cultures and show to the local community countries’ traditions and holidays. That’s the reason we are looking for volunteers with language skills, who are capable of working with school children, active and friendly. Volunteers will participate with other volunteers in Bulgarian course, which will take place during all project. More intensive at the beginning, and then twice a week x 1,5 hour.
Accommodation and other practicalities: Our organization will take care of the practical arrangements in order to support and guide the volunteer from the moment of his/her arrival in our country. The volunteer is entitled to free board and lodging.Her/his accommodation will remain available for her/him throughout the entire service period, including holidays. We’ll ensure that the volunteer lives in safe and clean accommodation and eats sufficient and healthy food. The volunteer will take good care of the accommodation that will be provided for her/him.
