Purpose of project: short-term project, supporting the biggest event in Ruse – The Carnival

Number of volunteers: 2 volunteers at the age of 18-30 from Azerbaijan

Duration of project: 01.06.2019 – 30.06.2019

Deadline: 26 February 2019

The candidates for the position have to send a CV and motivation letter to the SENDING ORGANISATION before 25 of February 2019. The sending and receiving organizations will make the selection and organize a skype interview with pre-selected candidates.

The selection Criteria

The selection process will be open for young people between 18 and 30 years old, citizens of the European and Partner countries. We are looking for motivated, positive and open-minded volunteers, ready to learn and share new knowledge and skills. Will be nice for the project if the volunteer have knowledge of arts like music, drawing, painting etc., English, promoting and animation youth, new technologies, youth information and Youth European Programs. We would like the volunteers to develop their own project and organize workshops (crafts, design, music, dance, sports, photo etc…)

Tasks of the volunteers
  • Work in a team and respect the other volunteers.
  • Making presentations about the home country including Carnival celebrities.
  • Meeting with local youngsters and promoting EVS
  • Visiting schools and promoting the Carnival idea
  • Participating in promo campaign about the Carnival
  • Participating in the street workshop with local people – painting faces, making carnival masks
  • Information and promotion the youth activities for young people in the region.
  • Participating in video making workshop – all participants will have responsibility to make 3 videos – What is EVS?; The Ruse’s Carnival (promo video of the Carnival); Video about the whole project.
  • Supporting youth initiatives, festivals, cultural and sports events for the young people in Ruse.
  • Join the regular activities of the organization, together with local youths.
  • Each volunteer must bring a Carnival costume which should wear on the day of the Carnival.
  • The volunteers have to develop their own project, like organizing hand – made crafts workshop, photograph workshop, sports workshop etc. in connection with the interest of the volunteer
